Another card is off to Russia

Carla & Carla, have sent this original artistic view of the Cathedral reflected in a puddle of our emblematic rain to Yulia in Russia.  Nice work ladies and thanks for your enthusiasm!

This lovely postcard is headed to the Netherlands

Lucia (Basic 2) has done a spectacular job of writing and decorating this card which was posted today. The card is going to Kitty in Holland who loves trees and nature, so this is right up  her alley.  Unfortunately we had to take off the beautiful 3D flower at the bottom of the card before sending it because it wouldn't go through the mail. Take a second to read this card because it truly is impressive.   In case Kitty wants to know more about "horreos" she can click on this link.  What makes it even more special is that the photo itself is an original taken by Iain Colquhoun,  one of our English teacher's father.

Someone in New York will be receiving greetings from Diego

Diego (English, Basic 2) has sent this nice personal message to a lucky postcrosser in New York.  He has really added a nice touch to his greeting by including information that the two have in common.  Sheryl will love the view of the cathedral at night that he chose as well.  Good work, Diego, and great use of your English!

Our first card to Greece is in the mail

Diana and Judit have written a very original text on this postcard.  They talk about languages and words that they particularly like in French and English.  The stamp is nice and reflects one of those words. What are your favorite words in other languages?  Please send us a post.

3 more advanced 1 students are putting their English to use through postcrossing

Patricia, María and Noemi have joined efforts to send this lovely message to our lucky friend in California.  Like their classmates' card, theirs also shows an original reflection of the cathedral (the bell) in a puddle of rain water in the street.

Notice how postcrossing brings a smile to their faces!

Advanced 1 students have started postcrossing!

Rocío and Magdalena have joined our postcrossing project with this very original postcard depicting the reflection of the cathedral in wet stones.  Gabriele in Germany is the lucky recipient of the card.

And here are our happy postcrossers!

Our first card to the Netherlands

Olga and Jeaneth have sent this emblematic photo of the botafumeiro to the Netherlands.

Unfortunately we don't have the backside of the card to share the message, but we do have this wonderful photo of both ladies at work.  Nice to see such enthusiastic postcrossers.

Another card is off, this time to South Africa

Barry in Cape Town will appreciate this lovely single aerial view of our amazing cathedral that Fernando and Gemma have chosen.  This is our first card to go to Africa and with it we are continuing to travel the globe as you can see with our Map Tracker tab.

And here's Fernando proud of his postcard and of using his English!  Thanks for your effort!

Paula in Portugal will be thrilled to receive this card from us.

Inés and Helen are sure to make Paula's day with this postcard of the classic view of the Cathedral in Santiago.  And since she collects postcards of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, she will surely love this one.  Thanks ladies!.

Our First card to the Czech Republic is in the mail.

Thanks to postcrossers Bea and Laura from Intermediate who have put their English to good use with this wonderfully informative postcard.  Our postcrossing friends in the Czech Republic are sure to like it as well as the front of the postcard depicting the Way of St. James.  Perhaps it will inspire them to go on the Pilgrimage.

Another postcard is on its way to Taiwan, this time to Taipei

Meiching in Taipei, Taiwan, is the fortunate recipient of this postcard written by 3 Intermiediate students who really do show that they know how to use their English well.  The postcard has 5 emblematic views of Santiago which Meiching is sure to find lovely.  Thanks again to our English students who are the true reason this project is such a success.

Another postcard is on it's way to Germany. This time to Leipzig

Maite and Pilar from Intermediate 1have sent this postcard to our postcrossing friend, Adina, in Leipzig, Germany. Gorgeous aerial view of the Plaza de la Platería and the Fuente de los Caballos. And to add a little more Spanish flavor, it carries a commemorative stamp of Flamenco artist Paco de Lucía.  Nice work, ladies!

Change of direction and now moving west!

Jackson, South Carolina (USA) is the destination of this postcard with an emblematic view of the Cathedral as seen from the Praza da Inmaculada. We hope Marty likes it!

We continue to travel east!

This postcard's fortunate recipient is in Hangzhou, China. The image shows the historic Igrexa de San Francisco reflected in the glass windows of the modern library Ánxel Casal.

Our second postcard is headed for Taiwan!

Four English students have sent this postcard showing this emblematic street in Santiago's old town.  Our friend in Nantou County, Taiwan, is sure to find it charming.

Our first postcard has been sent to Russia!

Our postcrossing project at EOI Santiago de Compostela has taken flight and our first postcard is on its way to Moscow, Russia!

Sonia and Nerea's postcard shows a black and white image of the Toural from 2007.

Thanks Nerea and Sonia for taking part in this journey!
